PCI - ATA Hard Drive G3 --> G4

I have a ATA hard drive card in my B/W G3 controling a ATA100 45 gig drive. The card itself did not require a driver and was truly plug and play. Although the hard drive had to be re-formatted (as originally I split the two drive off the motherboard controler (not a good idea)). If I buy a new G4 with OS X and simply plug in this card (box said OS X compatible) will the drive show up - no questions asked??? This is one of the 2 or 3 reasons I'm stalling my upgrade. Although with dual 80 gig drivves.. I guess a fire wire cable could solve ALL my problems.. so this is mostly a curiousity question!

If it's the Sonnet card, no problem.

Go to [url:http://www.versiontracker.com] and hit the OS X tab. Now search for Sonnet. The drivers should pop up for that card. Put the drivers on a Zip and install them before you install the card. Ta Da.
