Hi folks,
2009 MP as my main machine, upgraded gfx card, SSDs, USB3 and a bit more RAM. Running latest version of Yosemite.

My internet connection is giving me issues - on a 2G network the connection is patchy, and on a 5G network the speed sits around 2mbits. My retina MBP/iPad/iPhone all connect to both fine and sit around the appropraite 45-60mbits on the 5G.

I'm wondering if there is a wireless card I can buy to improve my situation? I'd love to take full advantage of the 5G network. I couldn't find anything on my internet search.

Cheers

I have no personal experience with it, but according to reports here, the Asus PCE-AC68 works great if you want a PCIe card with antennas that are external to the case for better reception.
