    Hi,
I have a 2005 2.7DP G5 which i use mainly for music. I currently use 2 monitors via a Dual DVI card but I am looking to add another card to run a third monitor in my live room.
Am i right in thinking that PCI cards are compatible with PCI X slots? If so, can anyone suggest a compatible graphics card please.
First with PCI X being replaced with PCI-E and now many new software releases only working on the Intel chip, I can't help but wonder whether updating my tower would be the wise option (if not an expensive one!) It was quite an investment at the time!
    Anyway, thanks in advance.

I'm afraid you have few options.

You can flash a Radeon 7000 PCI

Buy a Radeon 9200 PCI Mac Edition

If you are in LA, I have a couple 6200 PCI cards laying around from when I used to dabble in those.

You can get a preflashed 7000 from the BOZOs at Applemecanix for like $30.

Sucky card but it will display an image.

BTW...if this is for FCP...it doesn't play nice with PCI and AGP at once.

Back to the point, trust The Rominator's answers. He/She's the expert, hardly, if not, never far of from the truth. Thanks for sharing your knowledge once again.
