PCIE question - 2013-2015 MBA

Wanting to swap out my 128 SSD for a 256 (or perhaps 512).

The current is Samsung 128 SSUBX 655-1958A

Am seeing many [for Apple] with 655-xxxxx model numbers
• do the#s just vary with different manufacture dates?
• will any work as long as SSUBX and 12+16

Examples found [Samsung/Apple 256gb]:
256 ssubx 655-1858H
256 ssubx 655-1803D
256 ssubx 655-1959B
