    1. PDANet typically offers free upgrades unless there is a new major version or if the phone changes.
    2. They let you use the software on both phones on the same account similar to itunes.
    3. Finally its totally agreed that they should have been upfront with the charges but then again, they have the best software in the market today and for all the efforts put in, I feel we should support them and make the purchase.

    Excerpts from their reply:
Upgrades are most likely free unless a totally different phone comes out and totally breaks PdaNet.
If you check our websites PdaNet has been priced at $34 for other platforms so this is already a discounted offer. Believe it or not our company doesn't profit from this overall (unless apple approves PdaNet in the app store). But it will help us continue development.

    Feature Request Features:
    1. Battery Charging with Tethered. 100%
    2. Aventail VPN support. (No Big Requirement at all but there are companies out there that use Aventail instead of the regular Cisco, Notel). 20%
    3. Make the phone initiate the adhoc network.

    No argument here.

One of the first things I did when I found PDANet for iPhone was go to the June Fabrics website, where I found that they have long previous experience doing tethering on other phones, and those existing products cost about $35. I suspected then that the free version couldn't last, and it turned out I was right. People who are surprised by this outcome didn't do their homework.

And I've bought the new version. $30 to turn your iPhone into a wireless broadband modem/router that works really, really well is a bargain, if you ask me.

    Feature Request:

What feature would you like june to add onto PDAnet. I'll keep the 1st post updated with the consolidated list.

Please mention the requirement and the priority percentage according to you.

In my case I would like to see:
    * Battery Charging with Tethered. 100%
    * Aventail VPN support. (No Big Requirement at all but there are companies out there that use Aventail instead of the regular Cisco, Notel). 20%

I don't think that is possible as the network protocols are defined as single connect and transmission radio transmits only when not connected. I'll still put it up there.

Towards the end of week I'll compile the final list and send it over to junefabrics.

Well, I've noticed that if I make an adhoc network with my MacBook Pro, connect the iPhone too it, and then disconnect my MacBook Pro from the network, the iPhone remains connected to this adhoc network and it shows up on other computers even if I go somewhere else with different computers than never saw the initial adhoc network.

Seems like it would be possible, I dunno.
