PDAnet can only make 1 connection???

Is this how PDAnet suppose to be? only 1 person can connect and use my "wifi hotspot" at a time. Other people can connect but only the first person that does is able to access the internet. is this how its suppsoe to be?

While this is correct, it is a little confusing when the traditional "hotspot" software allows one to share the phone's data connection with multiple devices.

Yes, they miss guide you with the naming, since it is not really a Mobile Hotspot.
