I'm looking for an app that's would let me annotate PDF readings and sync with Mac. That is, share PDF library and seamlessly update annotations on Mac when I make them on the iPad, without having to email or explicitly export to Dropbox. What's the best app for this purpose?

There are several apps that, through Dropbox two-way syncing, will perform all you've asked for. Notably iAnnotate, GoodReader, and PDF Expert. I have the former and the latter. Unfortunately, they have their flaws. And the two-way syncing? If you have a large PDF file, then adding a single new annotation causes it to re-sync the ENTIRE FREAKIN' FILE.

If you only have small PDFs, then this won't be too much of an inconvenience to you.

This makes me wonder why Apple hasn't created an IOS version of preview to allow syncing of pdfs. They could combine it with ibooks to serve as a universal dumping ground for pdfs.
