PDF files missing text (with Chrome but not Safari)

First time encountering this.

So just now, I saved this PDF file with Chrome and when I opened it, 90% of the text went missing. I tried opening it with Adobe Reader and Preview and it's the same.

Then I tried saving the same PDF file with Safari and everything was fine now. (with both Adobe Reader and Preview!)

What might be the problem? 😕
