I want to create a PDF with Pages and include hyperlinks to other PDFs or MP3s or RTFs or whatever that are on the same CD.

I think it is possible to do that, but apparently not with Pages alone. I found something about editing Pages 1 files with an XML Editor, but I don't know if I could use that approach to solve my problem.

Or do I need to buy Acrobat?

Any thoughts?

If you do a lot of work with PDFs and if no-one can offer advice on how to do this without Acrobat Pro, I would encourage you to buy this product. I'm unsure as to whether Acrobat Standard alone will let you edit and build in hyperlinks as I've never used it, only Acrobat Pro.

Here's the detailed product matrix:

If you've got access to a Windows machine you can download a trial version, which may be fully-functional, for a set time. Adobe's other 'try-outs' — for CS3 — are usually fully-functional for 30 days.

... but it seems pathetic to have to buy an expensive program just so I can change a link that says "http://" to something like "file://" or whatever the notation is.
