I am a newbie and didn't realise that i didn't really need to download Acrobat Reader 9 with Leopard, so I uninstalled it after a few days.

Ever since, if I now try to open a pdf file within Safari, I just get a blank page and Preview does not open at all

Any ideas ??

Cheers

It seems Safari thinks Acrobat plug-in is still there. Unfortunately, I am not in front of my Mac, but I think there is a systemwide /Library/Plug-ins folder. You may need to remove something that starts with Acrobat in that folder.

I have removed he acrobat reader plugin as advised, but no difference ??

I have deleted Acrobat completely and if I select a PDF stored locally it opens fine with Preview but any PDF's within Safari do not open, if I control and click I can download and open fine ???

any more thoughts gratefully received !
