I thought about Peace Corps, back many moons ago. Though I ultimately didn't do it (I remember being accused by some as being "one of those people," whatever that means), I can tell you that those I know who have done it have had their life changed. So, I guess I'd ask you ... are you ready for that kind of overwhelmingly deep experience?
More concretely. A former boss of mine did Peace Corps in what was then the Congo. He not only met his wife there, but has returned frequently since and with a sense of mission. Imagine that commitment ... that depth of belief in the meaningfulness of something?
Easy to say, as you're not me (and I did pass up this opportunity), but why on earth would you pass up that?
