    The ultimate guide to mountain locations worldwide, a companion while you’re there.

    A vast amount of high quality information on mountain areas across the globe. 44 countries are currently represented and over 1,000 locations listed.. and counting..

    Skier, snowboarder, adrenaline junkie, alpine expert, mountaineer, ski guide, hiker, cyclist, ski rep, traveller, snowshoer, dog-sledder, tele-marker, paraglider or just a general mountain goat - if you're interested in the mountains then this app is for you!

    Features..

    * Peak Locations *
    With the Peak Locations feature you can log your highest altitudes with your iPhone. Have you been to the top lift in Gulmarg, India - almost 4,000m? Stayed at Monarch Mountain in Colorado, resort height 3,288m and the 19th highest ski area in the world?
    You can now record your high altitude exploits right on your iPhone! Simply open PeakLocation, add a high point and your altitude and location will be stored on the phone. Bragging rights in the resort bars will be yours or simply take a screen shot and email it to home to your friends and family.

    * Favourites *
    Mark several of the resorts in the app as "favourites" allowing you to quickly access them from the main menu. Mark off places you've been or places you'd like to go.

    * Resorts *
    * Searchable - List all the resorts at once or list them divided by country, top 50 resorts by altitude, you have the ability to filter all resort lists by name. This gives you the ability to very quickly jump to any resort.
    * Maps - From the resort details page you can click a button and display a google map pinpointing a resort and its surrounding area. A fantastic time saving feature when you're in an unfamiliar area or for planning your trip to the mountains.
    * Weather - View the latest weather summary for the areas
    * Photos - Stunning photography showcasing the mountain town or village and providing colour to the text summary. There are more than a thousand images linked in.
    * Resort summary - For many resorts a summary by acclaimed industry writer Patrick Thorne is available. Each professionally written location description provides a unique insight into the area.
    Other statistics are available:
    * Country
    * Region
    * Nearest international airport
    * Distance to airport
    * Population
    * Season
    * Resort height (metres)
    * Runs (number)
    * Runs (length)
    * Top lift height (metres)
    * Vertical drop (metres)
    * Total number of lifts

    We are constantly adding statistics, maps, weather, photographs and more. Ensuring that this is the most comprehensive app available.

    n.b. Certain features in this iPhone application rely on an operational internet connection and a GPS capable device.
