My experience with Airtags so far suggests an inverse-square law between the urgency of finding an item and the Airtag’s refusal to respond.

So, can I use this device in my car and my kid's backpack to tracked them without the annoying sound alerts of AirTag (i.e. the anti stalking feature)? If it works the same way AirTag does, and use the same network (compatible nearby iOS device), I will buy it.

Gosh I hope you can share between multiple accounts, that the biggest issue I have airtatgs. I need to be able to invite family members, I put on in my car, that both my wife, mother-in-law and I drive, thinking this would help recover it if it was stolen! we trust each other so its not a trust issue, but mother-in-law took the car for an overnight stay at her friend's house, she got a message someone was tracking her, scared the crap out of her (she knew about my airtag in the car but thought this was someone else) I recently added one to my rather expensive and precious to me digital telescope again to protect and recover it if it got lost, we went a way for a geek night with my mates taking the scope with an aim to capture orion, my mate got an alert he was being tracked! I added a third to my trailer that often parks in my dad's driveway to again hopefully recover it if its stolen, again my day and mum got an alert they were being tracked.. In all of those use cases If i could have invited them to share the tag, permanently or even temp (surely they would accept the share offer and therefore it would show on their phone? so anyone tricked into accepting a share request could see it in their find my app at anytime?) I don't see why this feature is to hard to implement? and would massively increase the use case of the tags..

Got the card. I was looking for something for my wallet - so hopefully I like it when it arrives. Let's see.

Only got it because of the Find My network compatibility tbh. Otherwise, would have passed.
I've been using their old card for ages now, and have been pretty happy with it. Glad to see their supporting Find My now.
