iTouch

iShuffle

referring to an Apple Store as an "iPod shop"

iPhone G3

referring to LEGO Bricks as "legos" (contentious and irrelevant one, i know)

I've heard all of them in person and they all annoy the crap out of me, please feel free to pitch in / disagree.

I second your rant, and add...

PC when you mean a Windows Computer. A Mac and a Linux Machine are also PCs.
Also, last time I checked, Mac OS X was pronounced "Oh Ess Ten" not "Oh Ess Ex".

TEG

when people say " i could care less" i ask them if they even understand what they are saying.

Well, even Apple uses that, so you can't blame people for saying PCs and Macs.

i hate it when people say "aich" instead of "haich" when pronouncing the letter "h"... that really peeves me

Two apple related sayings that piss me off

iPhone g3

iPhone 3rd gen

One non related

calling a Jet ski a Waverunner or Sea-Doo (those are brands)

Slippers are slippers, not flip-flops, or thongs.

Shoes are made for out side of the house, not inside.

Those are mine..... :p

Firstly iTouch is an old software and driver suite for touchscreen computers, predates iPod Touch by a long shot. Amazes me all the people here who have this software installed on their computers and are either 1) praising it or 2) having problems with it.

As long as a company doesn't compensate me financially, I feel no obligation to adhere to their naming schemes. With that in mind, I am not ashamed to talk of about Imacs, iTouches, IPots or the MAC OS 10.X OS on this board.

Unless, of course, Apple Inc. chooses to remunerate me for keeping in line with their naming guidelines.

:D

I see nothing wrong with giving the "PC" name to non apple computers. After all, they need all the help they can get. And, Apple is a great deal better. ;)

Words and their meanings have changed over the years, bearing nothing to what they once were.

Gay use to just mean happy and carefree, and not a sexual connotation. Bad use to mean not good, now its taken on another meaning. And so on...
