Apps Pedometer ++ never updates

Ever since I got the series 4 the pedometer complication never updates. It always stays at 0. Sometimes if I click in the complication it will sometimes update. Anyone else have a fix? I have tried the usual reinstall etc.

Is this on watchOS 5.1.1? Did you try at all on previous version 5.1? I think updates in 5.1.1 are somewhat broken.

I don't know, how those apps used to be worked before watchOS 5.1.1 but now on my series 4 steepsApp does not update itself. I think there is a problem in all kinds of pedometer apps now.
