First time poster.
I have been reading this forum for my new iPhone 12.

I joined the forum to share my experience with PELA case.
Bought a case from Pela for my new iPhone 12 - a compostable eco-friendly case
Received it today and unfortunately the case was faulty and upper/bottom lips were loose
Emails were answered immediately and professionally at around 9PM their time
I had to return it since I live half way across the globe and it would take too long for me to receive the replacement they offered.

Some thoughts about the case...
Case is very good looking, light, soft yet grippy in hands.
Buttons are covered and work very well.

I was impressed with the quality of the customer service and the case (although mine came faulty)
From reading this forum, this brand does not get enough recognition
I thought it would be nice to share about this company with good initiative and products.

Pela cases are known for their loose edges and general floppiness. Interestingly enough, the borders of their Slim Case line (thinner cases overall) feel harder, so their edges do not flip as much. It is as if they “compressed” their regular case harder on their Slim line. 🤚

I purchased one of their cases for the XS Max, and I absolutely hated the buttons for the volume (the power button is exposed). I only purchased the case because I wanted to support them.

⚠️ For European Pela customers, you need to choose your cases carefully, as despite having a dedicated European website, they might still ship it from the US (as stated on their site), in which case they will also charge your card in $, so your bank may apply a surcharge for paying in foreign currency.

You can also forget trying to return anything to them for a refund, as it will cost you around 25€ from continental Europe (the cheapest way possible).

They write about their “German warehouse” on their site, yet insist you send the products back to the original sender, which is in Salt Lake City, USA. Quite a funny situation for an “eco-friendly” company. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Otherwise, their Slim cases are quite sleek indeed, if you like the colours. However, due to the relative hardness of this case, the buttons are also much tougher to press.
