How long does a full charge take? I googled and could see 15 seconds gives 30 minutes but how long does a full charge take?

I haven't charged mine from flat but I'd guesstimate 5-10 minutes via lightning would give you a full charge.

One other thing I found out that i can't remember where from - if you're not actively using it, don't fidget with it. It has an accelerometer in it, and if it detects no movement for 20 minutes it will turn itself off basically - this saves a lot of battery.

I have not tried a full battery charge, however i can confirm you are unlikely to run out of battery if the pencil stays with the iPad. You can resume usage in seconds; you get 20% within a minute or so via the iPad

thanks for the info, I honestly had no idea that they pencil needed charging, is there an actual indicator some where of the pencil's current charge?

Yes you can add the Batteries widget to your screen display to view both the iPad & pencil battery status. You need to pair the Pencil with the iPad via Bluetooth for the widget to appear though!

Also, if the pencil doesn't show on your battery meter, move the pencil to wake it up.

As per my post above, the pencil goes to sleep when it hasn't moved for a bit - to the extent that it turns off Bluetooth and will not show on your iPad's battery meter as it is not communicating with the iPad.

Just pick it up and it will then turn itself on and re-connect.
