I've read a few articles about precision/latency issues on the 9.7 iPad Pro and others that said they noticed differences between it and the 12.9. Does anybody else have this same experience? Or is the writing experimce the exact same?

And I have limited experience on the 12.9 but the Apple Pencil on the 9.7 I have is outstanding. I've experienced no lag, its instantaneous to what ever is being written or drawn. It's been very impressive.

If there are differences, it is probably in the apps. Especially if an app is setup so that the latency is just above the "acceptable latency" threshold, that 6% CPU speed difference could mean it just dips below that threshold and is noticeable. But it should really only affect latency (not accuracy), and only in apps that are in this particular edge case with their performance.
