Goodnotes is my favorite as well, together with pdf expert 5. Notability and about 6 or 7 other apps didn't work as well for me.

I use mine for note taking all day and honestly. That was the main reason for purchasing it.

I do like to draw and my kids as well but most of the use is for note taking.

I use mine with Notepad+ and also MyScript calculator. I don't draw either but I wanted to use the pencil so I'm finding new ways to incorporate it. Taking notes with it is great.

I do some sketching in my spare time but mostly use it for note taking in OneNote, marking up PDFs, and sketching site plans on Google Earth aerial images for work. I've also let my 8 year old draw on the iPad using Procreate. She's pretty good at it. Great option for restaurants if you don't want to lug the crayons.

Didn't want to start another thread, but wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong. My pencil will not work in the notes app. Is it suppose to?

It is. Are you sure you have paired it correctly? I'm assuming you mean the built in Notes app, not GoodNotes etc. Oh, and I think you need to hit the squiggly drawing line at the bottom, it probably won't work on the normal 'blank note' page.

Look where I circled with red. Press that to use your pencil.
