You should have bought the 2.4 model. Future proofing doesnt matter when you only surf the net lol

Try to load some random person's customized Myspace page on a 233MHz and let me know how that goes.

I had a G4 iBook 1.33GHz 1.25GB RAM and surfing the internet on it sucked, especially when on a website with Flash.

I don't get why you bought MBP then...
Whatever...And 2 GBs is fine for you.

You have a MacBook Pro for what reason sir?

All you do is surf the web? You could have even bought another Powerbook on eBay.

Anyway, 2GB will be fine for you.

Edit: Employer Discount?, aren't Apple employees not aloud to be on forums?

Why would any of you really care?!?!?!?! Just answer the OP's question.... stop wasting everyone's time!

I'd upgrade

Mainly because I can't call myself a geek if every computer I use doesn't have the maximum RAM fitted.

But I also have this feeling that newer versions of operating systems use more RAM and RAM for older machines will become harder to find and get more expensive as demand drops. So you may find over the next couple of OSX releases RAM usage goes up and you may regret not doing it now.

My 15" Penryn MBP is about to go to 4GB with the expectation that, like you, I will still to be using it in three to five years time.
