"People and Pets" on the Neo

I have about 8000 family/vacation/holiday photos and another app. 1000 videos on my MBN. There's still over 200gb available. I followed the instructions: closed the Photo app; charging the device; device locked. It should be scanning photos and creating the People and Pets feature - but nothing seems to be happening after 3 or 4 hours.

Edit: There's 9,460 photos and 961 videos.

What am I missing? TIA

Looking quickly online it says the process can take hours to weeks depending on the size of the library.

I got it! The Dad-Burned internet said to lock the device, but actually the opposite is true. Set the screen to never turn off, plug the MBN in, close the Photos app, leave the laptop open - - - - and BOOM it works! Google AI lies through its teeth again lol . . .
