I am new to this forum and tried search but didn't find an answer.
Theses are not in my address book. When I go to email or text someone, there are in there. same thing when I put someone's email address in wrong and try to use it; the wrong one will linger in there after I have corrected it. I thought clearing cache would get rid of them and it did on the ones Iput in, but not the others. Did these come in in a group message?

Are you using Apple Mail?
If so, go to Window on the menu bar -> Previous Recipients
You can delete unwanted addresses from there

Are you using exchange email on your phone? Maybe you are getting email from various people and companies, and they are being automatically added to your email contacts.

^^
Ah, good call, I wasn't paying attention to being in the iPhone Forum

Hmmmm, Gmail has a setting to add everyone to contacts automatically (everyone you email)
and Gmail will also add everyone in your circles on Google+

these are in my New Message contacts, where you add some one to the "To". doesn't matter if it's email or IM. I changed a contact's email address last week and her olsd address is still in there also.
