I remember looking at this board and all the complaining when IOS 6.x was released and about the changes to Apple Maps. I wonder so many years later if most remained on iOS 5.

Well, if I recall correctly, at least those with the original iPad are basically stuck with only being able to go up as high as iOS 5.

I use it daily!

All the apps I run with my iPhone are also 5.0 compatible without being updated.

Although I have upgraded to the iPhone6S I'll tell you, I will always miss this older firmware for its simplicity and smoothness.

I still got an iPhone 4S with iOS5 on it 🙂 Looking at the screenshots of iOS5 phones brings back a lot of memories, those where the days when smartphones were new and exciting for me.

I must run OS 10.5 on my Mac or trash it as the machine's max OS is Leopard 10.5.8 (I think) so any reason why I should trash a $2600 machine that works very well but I need the 10.5 upgrade and cannot seem to get it installed. Any suggestions?

This is all about iOS (for iPhones, iPads, etc.), not OS X/macOS (for Macs). You might want to try Older OS X Versions or PowerPC Macs or a similar section.
