People who traded in your macs to Apple, how long after they received did you get the $$?

Just in case anyone wants to know, it took one day after they received the computer to process the $$.

Same experience here as far as the time between the recycler getting the trade-in and processing payment. I did get nervous because it took more than two weeks from the time I dropped off my trade-in at a Fedex store to the recycling center. This was at the onset of the pandemic shelter-in-place direction so, in hindsight, it was understandable. I was concerned about the 30 day window to turn in my old MBA for the guaranteed credit amount, though, so I called Apple one week after I dropped it off and was reassured that I'm good as long as I did ship it within the 30 days.

How does the trade in work? For example, if I pay $1500 for my new laptop and they tell me my old laptop is worth $400, does Apple charge my card $1500 and then refund the trade in to my credit card later? Or give me credit in the Apple store? Just not clear how trade in works.

either way you want.

You pay full price for the new laptop, then when they get your old computer back in trade, they will credit your CC back for the amount promised for the trade. That's what they did with my old Air.
