Similar . I only notice it on white backgrounds. The usual faint pink tint lower left side to lower side.

But wouldn’t you expect a 1,000$ device like an iPhone to be almost perfect? But perfect is subjective.
For sure. “Perfect” is a perception thing. I think you can get close to it but personally if I’m not happy with something I bought wether it’s $10 or $1000, I’d return it (as I did with the iPad mini 6.) I’m glad stores have some sort of guarantee for stuff you’re not happy with or not “perfect”.

Better than affecting half the screen like previous devices, but still prevalent on the left. Still debating if I feel like exchanging.
If that’s better than the one you have previously, I’d advise on keeping it tbh. It’s only in dark mode at very low brightness. If you are looking at your phone at broad daylight on light mode, you won’t even see it.

For me it’s just PITA just to get a new one and set everything up again and later only find out that it has that defect again. ?. But of course it’s your choice.

Also I don’t believe in a perfect iphone as there isn’t one. Only you can define what’s perfect for you for your own likings.

If you win the OLED screen lottery, get a high-end nice screen protector and never look back and use it for years. I'd prefer a perfect screen with a nick or scratch on the phone than an imperfect screen with flawless hardware.

It's the thing you're most interacting with on a daily basis for HOURS.

Not really. Since that tint shows up as a light pink tint aka warmer on the areas noticeable in that dark image test photo when using light mode. For example on mine there is a slight pink tint lower left side of screen. Was the same with one of my 12 pro max. Then the replacement was fully pink tinted 🤣😂. Personally I consider mine acceptable. Roll on the iPhone 14 😅

Edit: Not that I agree but I don't think that's always the case because I clearly don't see any pink tint on my screen when in light mode (even in low light areas). Same went for my 12 pro max, sure did have green tint when in dark mode in low brightness but in light mode not a single hint of green. lol

My sierra blue 13pm 512gb looks totally fine and love the screen real estate. Coming from an 8 it is a nice change even though I did keep the 8 as I was not going to get much if I sold it.

Is there any tint issues on low btightness?

No, I’ve checked with yt video for uniform display, watching just like conditions indicated so brightness at 10-15% and total dark environment.
Greys and uniformity looks fine, not perfect but grey is grey, no pink, green, violet tint.

Here is my screen in dark room, watch alarm app, brightness minimum, taken with 11 PM.

In real condition, for my eyes it looks much more uniform and no flaw than in the picture

I guess different eyes see different things.

I wish I was in my 14 day return time. I really regret not getting the pro vs the regular 13.

I see that this thread has grown. My 13 Pro Max has a pretty great display, very unform and no tinting issues that I have observed. My only fault of the display is the off-axis color shifting, not that I view my phone from off-axis that often. I am extremely happy with the phone and battery life has been bonkers insane.

Have the sąme level of quality and even off axis viewing angles are great.
But definitely we’ve seen here some under quality chains units.
The problem exist and shame it’s present after 5th years of oled iteration display

Pretty much. Not everyone see's the same thing. It's interesting how with my 13 pro max. with light mode at very low brightness 0-15%, no hint of any red tint (my launch day did have the uneven uniformity issue), and is perfect to my viewing. However, when in dark mode and low brightness but in a very dark room there is a slight hint of pintkish/orange tint on the top but honestly doesn't bother me at a all. I don't use my phone in the dark anyways.

Apple is definitely shifting away from OLED and the next wave will be mini-LED followed by micro-LED. OLED is okay I guess.

I think mines the other way around lol.
