I have a nice Performa 475 with the Bus overclocked to 33 MHz and the Apple/Daystar-PPC 601 Upgrade card installed.
Machine usually runs fine with the 601 at 66 MHz and a 32 MB PS/2 Simm which shows as a total of 36 MB of Ram.
But i also have two 64 MB EDO Simms working in a PPC 6100/66. So, out of curiosity, i tried one of them with the Performa.
This returned some strange behaviour:
When booted to the 68040 CPU, all the Ram shows up without any problems. 68 MB in total.
But when booted to the PPC, only 16 MB of the additional Ram, 20 in total, show up with the 64 MB Simm installed.
OS is 8.0, software for the Upgrade is Apple's, not the Sonnet/Daystar-version. Apple, in this case, seems to be more recent.
Any suggestions what could cause this?
