Just wondering, with a high end 27-inch late 2013 iMac and a high end late 2015 iMac, is there much performance difference besides the 5K display? Is the SSD faster? Thanks.

Yes the ssd the cpu the gpu
[doublepost=1456095020][/doublepost]And even the ram
Overall i say around 25%

Technically...yes, like mentioned. However it will depend on your workload to determine if there is a real world gains or not.

For example, there might be a 25% (just for example) gain when it comes to a game and a 0% difference when it comes to checking your email.

I have both 2013 and 2015 top-spec iMac 27s, the only difference is my 2013 is Fusion Drive and the 2015 is SSD. There is not a huge performance difference but in some specific workloads the 2015 iMac 27 is significantly faster.

On benchmarks the SSD is super fast but on many real-world workflows, SSD isn't much faster than Fusion Drive. However I slightly prefer the SSD, and there are less common cases where you notice the difference. See attached spreadsheet with tests, mostly focusing on CPU, GPU and FCPX.
