I was wondering: how much of a difference will we see in terms of FPS with the newly seeded 10.6.5? I was focusing specifically on 3D games, like Team Fortress 2.

It is common knowledge, that Mac OS X is inferior to Windows, in fact every other OS on earth is not as good as Windows, but that is all I can say.

I'm not that good on elaborating any of my statements with proper arguments anyway.

we are talking about gpu performance and well, for that matter, even snow leopard is five years behind windows xp.

I think Loptimist meant that the FPS numbers under 10.6.5 are good, but not as good as the numbers that are obtained when running the same apps under Windows. I'm no gamer, but that seems to be a common occurrence.

I don't think he was attempting to bash OS X 10.6.5, and I assume he is not permitted to say more due to an NDA.

10.6.5 10H529 provides more stable frame rates, at least for me.

people need to stop thinking whenever someone compares windows and osx, it is about osx being inferior to windows.
