Hey Guys. My 27" iMac (3.5 i7 8Gb RaM GTX 780M 4Gb), arrives today, so I've been running through some scenarios in my head.

I would like to do some light gaming on the side. I however, do not want to allocate a bunch of space on my internal drive for a windows installation. So I was thinking about installing windows on an external drive and booting into windows from that drive, just for gaming purposes. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I will be running the external installation via USB3

Thanks in advance, and I hope I have posted this in the right section

There is a forum (just up from here :) ) dedicated to bootcamp and windows etc http://forums.macrumors.com/forumdisplay.php?f=86
I'm sure a search/research in here should give you quite a number of options and feedback about the success of this.
