I am using a Mac that I purchased in 2008 and running the most recent OS. I know it is old, but I was wondering if there were ways to increase its performance. It is really starting to lag. Is it just time to upgrade or are there things I can do (besides the normal clear cache, trash bin, etc). I don't download hardly anything and there is plenty of space.

Thanks for any help.

Put an SSD into it and perhaps bump up the RAM.
