Which mouse would you get? If you have either mouse, please tell me your preference. I am getting a new mouse and I am having a hard time choosing between both mice. I am on a budget and the Magic Mouse is cheaper, but if the Performance Mouse MX is better, I will get it. Thanks.

i just got the magic mouse about 3 hours ago and i absolutely love it. the shape's a little weird to get used to but i think i'm getting there now. definatley get BetterTouchTool though so you can take advantage of the multi-touch features.

Is Bettertouchtool free?

I played with the MM at the Apple Store quite a bit but decided to stick with my VXrevolution.

The technology is cool, but I don't like the ergonomics. Scrolling with any of the top-end Logitech mice is divine and effortless while the MM requires two fingers and more wrist action. The best way i can describe the experience using the MM is that it's very much like having a smaller surface-area trackpad that happens to move.

You should try it out some more before you decide and definitely try out the MX, which if I had more money I would've bought. For me, I like to buy my peripherals from companies that are well-known for making them. Logitech is a proven leader in the consumer industry for input devices while Apple never really understood how to make a good mouse despite pioneering the technology.

Is this a joke? You are actually comparing the most advanced mouse ever made, that even tracks on glass, to some overpriced gimmicky mouse with crappy ergonomics?!

Do you care about ergonomics? If you do, MM has none, and if you have big hands its even worse. If you are going to be using a mouse all day long the MX is a clear winner. I got one with my iMac and its still in the box, I use a razer, though would recommend most mouses on the markert over the MM and that is just based on ergonomics and feeling good to use. At least you have 14 days to take the MM back.

I recently bought the performance mx and it is wonderful to use. Ergonomics are great and the tracking is just awesome, glides over surfaces without a hitch. I haven't had a chance to play with a mm but I definitely would recommend the performance mx, after my vx revolution it is the best mouse I've used

I've had the PMX for a couple of weeks, and while I love the functionality, I'm finding that that it's less comfortable to use than the wireless Logitech mouse I had been using prior to getting the PMX. The problem is that the PMX is a tad too high, and the base of my wrist does not rest firmly on the desk when I use it. This puts some strain on the tendons in my wrist when I use the mouse for anything longer than half an hour continuously. That said, the discomfort seems to be getting less as days go by, which probably means that my wrist is slowly adjusting to the mouse. BTW, my hands are about average for a man.

I LOVE the magic mouse. I ditched my Logitech MX for it.

That being said I hated the Magic Mouse the first hour I had it, then it grew on me, now I love it.

You do hold it a bit different. Instead of wresting your entire hand on it simply move it with your finger tips.

Magic Mouse + Better Touch Tool = awesome (and the first Apple mouse I liked!)
