Performance Update?

Hi Guys

Anyone just receive that "Performance Update" in Software Update?

Something related to hard drive issues?

The curious side of me is wondering if it patches anything to do with the data loss bug 😀

It says it is related to hard disks not responding. I just put it on. I wonder if it also fixes the Guest account bug that erases your main profile.

Could be just me but anyone who installed the update getting less beachballs? Leopard I never got any but upgrading to Snow Leopard it would be pretty constant while in Safari, after the update not really noticing them anymore.

I never had beach ball problems with 10.5 and 10.6. I am running Crucial SSD and it has been good. I remember a lot of beach balls when I first got into the Macs when OS 10.1 was out. I actually went back to windows because of the issue.

No, but it does improve the performance.
