Hello - First post here, looking for a little help.

I'm wondering if it's possible to permanently block a program from being able to be installed. Does anyone know of existing software? Or can anyone do this themselves, and is willing to help me do on my computer?

Thanks a bunch guys, don't know if it's cool to ask questions's like this here, if not can someone point me in the right direction?

Adam

hello, this will not be enough. I want all the functionality of a normal administrator account. Without having to tell someone else a password, and I cannot have the option of downloading my favorite game, I'm hooked, as much as it's easy to say "don't download it," it's not that easy for me.

You can block the address of the website you have to download the game from, but then again you can pretty easily reverse it

Correct, the hosts.txt file. Like you said, I was able to easily reverse it when I really wanted to.

Maybe I misunderstood, but my first thought was to create an Xyz.app directory in /Applications.
Make it owned by root and inaccessible.
Yes?
;JOOP!
