I came accross a log file (private/var/log/asl) that was 65GB. I deleted the file by dragging into trash, updated my computer but the file keeps coming back and is growing quite quickly. Is there a way to permanently delete it? Or how can I find out why it is growing so quickly?

might want to look in there, and see what is causing so much to be written to the log. Fix whatever that problem might be, and the log wont grow like mad.
