I just bought Airpods 3. I have a Mac, and I have an iphone.

Is there any way to COMPLETELY stop the airpods from switching from the Mac to the iphone?

For instance, if I'm on a zoom call on my Mac, and my phone rings, the airpods switch to my phone, leaving my client's voice coming out of my Mac speakers and me with no way to talk to him.

On the phone, I have tried setting the option to When last connected to this iphone.

That doesn't do it.

What combination of settings will fix this? I want the airpods to NEVER switch to the iphone.

Thank you.

My experience had been no. Not matter how many steps you follow, AirPods won’t reliably stick to one device.

My solution was to just go back to cabled earphones

Can you disable Bluetooth on the iPhone for when you only want to use them on the Mac?

The only sure fire way is to use two different Apple ID's on the devices or as Ralfi mentioned disable Bluetooth on the phone.
