I'm trying to copy over a colleague's 'work in progress' folder onto our server's drive but it's coming up with permission problems on certain files during the copy which brings everything to a halt. It's 55gb and I've got to get it off his machine within the next couple of hours.

Any way of over-riding, ignoring or setting the permissions of the folder and its contents so that I can get this quickly done?

Thanks

BV

If you bring up the information for the files concerned, do they allow read and write access?

It doesn't tell me which files are causing the problems, and there's thousands in there... 55gb worth. I'm trying to reset the permissions on the entire folder and its entire contents to the same settings as the destination drive... it's taking its time to get that done, though.
