I'm experiencing persistent fan noise on my iMac 21.5-inch late 2013 i7 3.1 after Catalina update.
At the time of purchase, iMac was perfectly silent. After OS update, fan noise has started.
I know that it can be the spotlight index in background after every OS update so I've waited several weeks, but nothing has changed.
I've updated the machine also recently with a new Catalina security update, but fan noise goes on.
I've informed the supplier and he has advised me to make a reset with CMD+R.
Is the only way? Any advice?
