personal hotspot question

Hi

So I have this problem with my personal hotspot, I want to let other iphone users use my data at home or outside, so I turn my personal hotspot on as discoverable. So other iphone users can connect to my phone if I leave it on the now discoverable page. However, if the connection drops they can't connect to me again until I go back to the personal hotspot discoverable screen again. It is such a hassle to go back and forth if the connection was disconnected, why couldn't they just find my iphone since I left the personal hotspot on?

Anybody knows or has experience this?

This has always happened to me from the 4 to my 4S

Because it disables after a long time of inactivity.
If it broadcasted all day with noone connected to it your phones battery would die in an hour.
