With the ability to create a personal hotspot on the iPad now, will it be free with any data plan? Or will we have to buy a expensive plan from AT&T or Verizon?

Heh. It's ATT. It likely won't be "free" w/ any plan. I'd bet it's a $20 surcharge, and completely unavailable if you have an unlimited plan, but ATT hasn't even said if they will support it yet. Probably some news before launch I'd guess.

VZ is supposedly included since their data plans cost a little bit more. Would make sense, but this is still unconfirmed, yes ATT will most likely nickel and dime.

If its like AT&T's iPhone data plan, using your iPad for a hotspot will only work on AT&T's 5GB Monthly Data Plan for $50

But if your on AT&T with a grandfathered unlimited plan and want (legit) hotspot, I bet AT&T makes you buy a tiered plan. With sucks!! So if your unlimited grandfathered, keep it.
