So I got my new HomePod mini the day after Christmas and I am really enjoying it. We are constantly having one issue. I am the primary user and my wife is also added to the home app. We share a calendar and several lists on the reminder app.

the problem is whenever my wife tries to add something to the grocery list Siri says she doesn’t know who is talking. We turn on personal requests and it works for a period of time and then it will randomly stop. Repeat the process and it works for a while then stops again. Anyone else having this specific issue?

mine has turned itself off occasionally, although I have the big one.
it's been a while though.

only suggestion I have is to reset the hompod and set it up again, not sure if it will help

I recently bought two minis and I am having this problem with my wife's account. Mine is fine but personal requests keeps resetting to "off" for her. I've even gone as far as resetting the HomePods and setting up a new home, but we're still having the issue!

Does anyone have any ideas?? @sclawis300 did you ever find a solution?

Negative.

Exactly same problem with wife’s personal requests turning off on HomePod mini. Tends to stay enabled for a day of so. Personal requests remain enabled on OG homepods.

Still having the same issue. I go into wife's settings and turn on "personal requests" she tests it and it works. Next time she tries it "I don't know who is speaking." Getting super annoying. Especially since the homepod will override her phone so even is she has her phone out and says "hey siri" it won't go through the phone and the mini will try to do the action.

And it also constantly says I have to authenticate on my phone too. Doesn’t recognize my voice when I give a command but if I ask Siri who I am it knows my name. So frustrating.

I have no resolution for you. Mine did this for about 6 months. I kept turning it back on but it did no good. It just stopped seemingly without any intervention on my part. It's not happened for a few months now. I thought it might have been fixed by a software update but seemingly not.
