Now the BBC have banned any coverage of Pete Doherty from any of its children's programmes or channels.

Well, I'm from America, so violence is not a big deal here. It's sex that offends the majority of us (for whatever reason).
That said, I'm compulsive enough to jump on board if the rest of you want to group up and find this guy. We'll bash him good!
I don't understand that he has stayed out of jail for such a long time, it seems that on a weekly basis he gets stopped for being in the possesion of Class A drugs.

Have no idea if it's true or not, but his official story is that he was extracting blood from her arm to use in some of his artwork.
Backing facts: Pete does indeed do a fair amount of artwork with his own blood and I think has exhibited some of it in a low key way.
He also squirted a syringe of what seemed to be his own blood over a german camera crew in the middle of an interview in germany. (this was shown on Brit TV's 'worse celebrity moments of 2006' - yes I watch trash sometimes )
I work in the modern art field, and I've seen a fair number of current artists have an obsession with blood, either their own or someone else's. (e.g. Franko B, Marc Quinn etc)
The fan with the syringe has I think mumbled some sort of corroborating story then kept a low profile afterwards. Don't know what's happening with the police charges of 'administering noxious substances' - it's either been dropped or will come to court in a few months or so.
