I have never heard of any of these. This all seems like a way for these companies to sell you their products rather than a true concern.
Came here to say this. These are just companies each with a product to sell, and their cash grab is being cloaked in an air of false righteousness.

Also - being able to change the iOS UI that dramatically would be a terrible security flaw. Somebody gets you to install an app that throws up its own mimic of the Apple ID login UI on top of everything else. If Apple did feel compelled to do this (and that's a titanic IF), it'd be something that was only available on supervised/MDM devices, which immediately eliminates all personal devices.

That's a widely-espoused theory, except iOS 11 is a glaring counterexample.

99% of everything about it was stable and worked great for 99% of users who thought their phones worked great. Doesn't mean that Apple shouldn't work to eliminate 100% of bugs, but in the countless lines of code and other software arenas, needs to be put in perspective.

For those who likes the high customisation of UI, stick to Android. There is always a balance and tipping over that balance = losing stability and reliability and consistency which is what makes iOS users like iOS devices. Not against either schools, just stick to either flavour that suits one's needs/preference.

Why force this onto other iOS users. I for one prefer the 'simplicity, consistency and it simply works' platform.

This is overthinking it. Don't listen to Apple about curing smartphone addiction; I'd recommend not buying a smartphone for a kid in the first place. Can't think of a single reason for it, other than educational if the kid is doing software dev, and there are likely horrible downsides. A dumbphone will do. As for adults, it's easy if you're conscious of it.

Perhaps Twitter should add a warning message though: WARNING, you are approaching the Roseanne level of meltdown
LOL

Yes, definitely not compelled to trust their solutions, and these UI features would be a weird turn for iOS.

Just noticed, you've been a member since 2000 but have few posts! I've never seen anyone with such an old account here.
