Phil Schiller's use of vacuous words on iPhone launch is 'just breathtaking'

Post your favourite quote

practically magic

I'm sure this can be attributed to Phil or Tim.
Excuse me while I go and be sick

Here's one from Tim Cook that NEVER fails to make me want to be physically ill when it slithers out from between his teeth and that sickly grin
'We think you're going to love it'
He must believe the more he says it the more true it is because it's his favourite phrase other than 'stock option'

"We are removing the audio jack because we have developed a better way to deliver audio. It has nothing to do with content management or DRM — that’s pure, paranoid conspiracy theory."

Yes it is, why is it "vacuous"?

Just move on dude

No, in what world is the lightning only headphone jack a measure for DRM.

That's what MSVerge Nilay Patel says, and you're probably repeating what he said.

He's an idiot and he's paid by Microsoft, so he says what Microsoft tells him to say,

But I'm still waiting for a reason for this attack.

You're taking this a bit seriously. I don't think that was the intent of the thread here. Sorry I missed the word 'vacuous' in the opening post. Nothing was intended other than a random quote, that's it. There isn't anymore to it.

What's interesting is how the original iPad (and maybe 2 and 3) were dubbed as magical, yet many defended it. Now it is seen as an issue.

I always thought it was a silly term myself. I just can't envision any electronic device as magical. Well, maybe if it came with a unicorn...

It's taking liberties. It's like listening to a friend you know extends the truth. There's a point where the cringing turns to ire.
[doublepost=1481760086][/doublepost]A good example is the iPhone 6s line, 'the only thing that's changed is everything'.

I hate reading it. Such a smug humble brag. It makes me angry, sad, and sick all at the same time

"If you want a product that's thicker with a bigger battery, it's also heavier, more costly, takes longer to charge."
