Hi! ive bought several lightstrips for my new home and i have a question. the lightstrips can be cutted... ok! but the cutted parts can be added to another strip? lets say i have 2 strips 2m each. can i cut 1m from first and add it to 2nd having as a result 2 strips of 1m and 3m? i think yes but the only problem is if the power supply can manage 3m. i think theres a limit but which is this limit?
and another question: where is the wi-fi chip, in the power supply or on the strips??

First of all, you need a Philips Hue hub otherwise you will not be able to connect the stripes to your network. The hub comes with the starter-kit, but it should be able to buy it separately.

I haven't tried cutting the Lightstripe, but I am pretty sure the parts with a small adapter from Philips. I'll post a link if I find it.

no matter! just read that the PSU its enough for just the 2m... had to specify in thread name "question to people who HAVE tried to do this"...not googling MY SIR

same forum ive found the other info. ok thanks anyway, at least ive found a better place for hue questions
