I’ve had my 17Pro and my iPad Pro M5 (WiFi only) set up to make and receive phone calls from either device for several months, and everything worked great. Incoming calls would ring on both devices and I could answer with either. (While at home and on WiFi)
After 27 b1, not so great anymore.
Incoming calls are the issue. Most times on incoming calls neither device will register the call so those callers can’t reach me, and a missed call doesn’t register on either device so there is no indication a call was attempted. Other times on an incoming call, I am unable to answer with the phone and am forced to answer on the iPad, even if the iPad is closed and laying on a table. I find no pattern to this. This is obviously when both devices are present.
I have checked and re-checked my settings on multiple occasions, rebooted both devices, reset my cellular connection, had T-Mobile reset my cellular connection, all with no success.
For now I have disabled “Calls on other devices” and my 17Pro works as intended.
Thoughts? Am I missing something? Perhaps I just need to wait it out and see what happens with the next update, but I did make a feedback report just in case I’m not the only one.
