Phone Numbers "Unknown"

Any idea as to why a number listed in my contacts is still coming up "unknown?" It's even under my favs.
Funny, it's my mother's house too. I need to know when it's her, to hit that sleep button!

I occasionally get 'Unknown'. In some cases it's set up on the callers end though it's not the same as 'Blocked'. The oddest incoming number I got for a call (not a text) was 0000000000

I do notice that 'Unknown' also shows no originating location, as in what state or area code.

I simply don't answer.

My brother-in-law has his number blocked so when he calls my phone it will show up blocked. Another possibility is that whom ever is calling you is using *67 which blocks their number from showing up on your caller I.D. on a per call basis. If it's your mothers number I would ask her if she has that line blocked because that is probably the reason.
