Hi everyone,

For the past year or so, I've been using a GSM phone with Bluetooth and have occasionally tethered it to my MBP when I'm out and about. I paired my phone (and enabled Internet access when doing so) and then go through Sys Prefs > Network > Bluetooth, using the Generic / GPRS (GSM/3G) option in Advanced.

That's been working fine, but I've just switched to a CDMA phone (Nokia 6275i) and can no longer get tethering to work. There doesn't appear to be a CDMA option in the list, and GPRS doesn't work. Is there something special that I need to do for a CDMA phone?

Thanks 🙂

You're right, there isn't a good explanation for how to use Bluetooth tethering with CDMA phones. Maybe you should search around and look for extra third party drivers to support this?

Or is it destined not to work? That could be possible.
