EDIT:

It's hard to find how the 13 Pro Max battery compares to the 14 Pro Max

MrWhoseTheBoss deliberately chose to not include the 13 Pro Max and he gave an absurd explanation

Other videos don't show the battery health of the 13 Pro Max so how can we trust the numbers.

And the last video from MarcianoTech, although he bought a brand new 13 Pro Max, he doesn't measure the nits of 13PM and 14 PM screens.

But the worse thing comes from PhoneArena:

PhoneArena are not displaying the battery health of any of their phones, and the worse: they're NOT re-running the tests, but they make a video like they do. They're just using the numbers from last year!

The numbers are the same, so it's just a theatre play to make you believe they did rerun it. And if they lied with this, they can lie with other things too.

Conclusion: we have no idea how's battery life, in a scientific way.

I give little creadance to YouTube video reviews as you can find ones that support either outcome of the coin. Some say it's equal or better and I'm sure they'll be ones that state is worse. All I care about is how it performs in my daily use. I can go for two days on my X so I guarantee the 14 Pro Max will outperform that threshold by a magnitude..

This is the first video that shows battery health on these devices. The youtuber went to an Apple Store and bought the last iPhone 13 Pro Max 1TB they had.

The 13 PM beats the 14 PM by a huge margin. Ans also surprisingly the 14 PM dims the screen more than the 13PM (in my experience this is opposite, so maybe it was just a one time thing for him)

All of the other videos I've seen, battery life was similar, but they never mentioned battery health.

There's only one mistake I believe, he doesn't measure the nits to set them equally, and we never see how is the autobrightness toggle on both phones

I can't tell you about the 13 Pro Max, but my 14 Pro Max definitely gets much better battery life than my 12 Pro Max.

The last 3 days I used my 12 Pro Max before getting my 14 Pro Max, it averaged about 8.5 hours of screen on time per 100% charge. That was with 88% battery health.

My 14 Pro Max has averaged about 11.5 hours of screen active time per 100% charge over the past 3 days.

I'm getting the same battery than my 13 PM, but who knows, maybe it's due to my 13 PM having a 95% battery health in his last days
