Being a new user, I've recently purchased Apple Mac iMac G5 OSX

Can someone tell me if I have to by only an Apple phone to get photo taken and opened on this computer, or can I purchase any phone ?

I'm afraid it's not that simple. Sure, an iPhone will definitely work. Not all other phones will work though - it all depends on the phone <-> Mac communication.
