Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8A293 Safari/6531.22.7) Is there an app that will let you put a password on your photo album or lock it so that nosey people that ask to see/use your phone won't go through your private pictures?!!
Not that will add a password to the standard photos app, but there are apps like Fotosafe or File Locker that will allow you to store photos that require a password. Or there might be something if you jailbreak.
i was hoping for something that would allow me to put a possword/lock on the native photo app. transfering your photos to a different app everytime is a hassle. i appreciate your help
A nice idea! It should be an option built into the IOS. I haven't seen anything that does that and would guess it somehow violates the terms of Apple's developers agreement.
Not really understanding your particular needs, but there's a jailbreak solution that will prevent you from launching specific apps and block it with a password. I believe it's called "mAdvLock."
There doesn't seem to be anything in the plain iOS for it. There's not going to be any apps to restrict it in the plain iOS because of the sandboxing of apps (they can't affect other apps like the camera/photo). There may be something if you jailbreak, I don't know. I suspect your only solutions (if you don't want to use fotolocker and the like as mentioned previously) are to either not give out your iPhone or not keep things you don't want others to see on the iPhone.
Pretty much...if you have porn on your phone I'm not sure why you would be embarrassed by it. If it's something of your SO/B/GF/Spouse, etc. I can understand, but In that case I'd just make a fake album and put some filler shots on top.
